2014 Sun Parlour Folk Music Society Folk Series kicks off January 18, 2014

The Sun Parlour Folk Music Society 2014 concert series gets underway Saturday, January 18 with ENNIS, Juno Award-winning sisters hailing from St. John’s, Newfoundland.

On Saturday, March 22 Juno Award winner James Keelaghan bridges traditional folk music with roots revival & Celtic. Friday, October 3 sees Toronto musician Ariana Gillis, a 22 year old Canadian Folk Music award winning powerhouse vocalist and songwriter.

The season concludes Friday, November 7 with Katherine Wheatley and Wendell Ferguson. Back by popular demand, Wheatley and Ferguson share compelling songs, award winning guitar playing and side-splitting humor.

All concerts will be held at the Lakeside Pavilion located at Lakeside Park, 315 Queen Street in Kingsville. Doors open at 7:30pm and shows begin at 8pm. Light refreshments and goodies will be available for purchase.  

Tickets are $25 per person per show, or $80 for all 4 shows. Children 16 years of age or younger accompanied by a parent are FREE. Tickets are available at Rebel Cowboy Music 5 Main St. Kingsville, by calling or emailing .

Concert goers are urged to purchase tickets in advance as the popular series usually sells out.

The Sun Parlour Folk Music Society, formed and incorporated as a non-profit in 2012 by award-winning folk-grass duo The Laws, exists to promote live music and events throughout Southwestern Ontario, including the annual Kingsville Folk Music Festival, of which The Town of Kingsville is an official partner.
